To my girls, promise me we'll go to Subic on November.

Parang ayaw na naming umuwi. It felt warm and cozy inside to be with these people again. We were classmates from 1st yr college until we graduated. We basically grew up together (kahit 4 years lang).

Because I Get High: Why I Love The Gym

I prayed before I signed up for a 1 year membership with Fitness First. So far, so good.

I've been a member of Fitness First for over a month. I go there 5-6 days a week. And I made a list of my reasons why I do.

1. I sweat. I don't sweat in the office. Staying a very cold place, with only my hands moving (kapag nagta-type) and literally burning calories is why I gained weight since my payatot days in college - payatot meaning 80+ lbs.

2. I'm challenged. Ang bigat pala talaga magbuhat. Me and my officemate Raymond got our trainer so our workouts are according to what our goals are. In short, we paid a muscled man to torture us almost every night. Haha! Just joking. Mahirap talaga magbuhat ng weights...as in! But I never thought I'd enjoy it this much...kapag nakakatapos ako ng isang round. May fulfillment. = )

3. I get starstruck. Maraming artista. At dahil isa akong full-blooded Pinay, meaning, natutuwa pa rin akong makakita ng artista kahit anong gawin kong pagpapanggap. I don't watch TV from Monday to Friday but I can name that star in 2 notes!

4. I see results. The reason really why I started going to the gym is to remove the fats from my legs. I have very fat legs if you haven't noticed. At yun ang nilagay kong goal dun sa parang application form ng Fitness First. Seryoso ito. I am so glad that for the past month that I've been working out, I see changes in my shape. Hindi pa naman ako kasing-katawan ni Jessica Alba, but I hope I can get there soon! Hahahah.

5. I have no more dysmenorrhea, and therefore,

6. I feel healthier. Dahil na rin sa cardio exercises. My heart and blood beats and circulates faster.

7. I feel happier. To add to the joy that Jesus brings in my life. I once read that regular exercise produces 'happy hormones'.

8. I'm stronger. Less hingal after a long walk.

9. I LOVE THE CLASSES. There's something about a big group of people moving together, feeling the same energy and grooving to one music. Sabi nga ni Madonna, get into the groove...

10. I get to dance. Another yehey!

This is why I love surfing the net...I learn things that I never learned in school. Teehee!

10 Unexplained Phenomena

10. The Body/Mind Connection -Using processes only poorly understood, the bodyes ability to heal itself is far more amazing than anything modern medicine could create.

9. Psychic Powers and ESP

8.
Near-Death Experiences and Life After Death

7. UFOs

6. Deje vu - French phrase meaning already seen, referring to the distinct, puzzling, and mysterious feeling of having experienced a specific set of circumstances before. Some attribute deje vu to psychic experiences or unbidden glimpses of previous lives.

5. Ghosts

4. Mysterious Disappearances - From the crew of the Marie Celeste to Jimmy Hoffa, Amelia Earhart, and Natalee Holloway, some people seem to have vanished without a trace.

3. Intuition - Psychologists note that people subconsciously pick up information about the world around us, leading us to seemingly sense or know information without knowing exactly how or why we know it.

2. Bigfoot - For decades, large, hairy, manlike beasts called Bigfoot have occasionally been reported by eyewitnesses across America. Despite the thousands of Bigfoot that must exist for a breeding population, not a single body has been found.

1. The Taos Hum - Some residents and visitors in the small city of Taos, New Mexico, have for years been annoyed and puzzled by a mysterious and faint low-frequency hum in the desert air. Oddly, only about 2 percent of Taos residents report hearing the sound. Some believe it is caused by unusual acoustics; others suspect mass hysteria or some secret, sinister purpose.

Womb + Man = WOMAN

I had sooo much fun at church today because of Pastor Ronnie's teaching about family and marriage. I don't think I'm too young to discuss about this....in a few years I'll be married anyway.

What I really enjoyed about today's teaching is when our Pastor told us how he respects her wife so much! They've been married for many years but the excitement, even the courtship, is still there. Everytime I see them at church, sobrang kakakilig kasi ang sweet sweet pa rin nila. They're proof that having children (they have two kids) should not change your feelings towards your partner.

My Faith Group leader, Ate Neng and many other women at church look radiant everytime I see them. And they have been married, what, 10+ years?! Amazing di ba? There's real joy in them and I am inspired by their spirits.

I would like to share with you some of the things that I learned from our pastor this morning:

*BESIDE (not behind) a man's success is a woman.

*The moment I entered into the right relationship, God has already prepared everything for me (and you!)

*Divorce was only allowed by God because of man's stubbornness but it is not God's perfect will.

*I should desire peace more than my rights. (WOAH! Oo nga ano? Kapag merong hindi nakakaintindi sa atin, instinct nating isipin na, 'Karapatan ko 'to, tama ang ginagawa ko at hindi mo ako mapipigilan at manahimik ka na lang.')

*I should never try to change my partner/friend/brother/sister, that's the role of the Holy Spirit. I can only change myself. Pray!

*I should learn to SHUT MY MOUTH and LISTEN.

*If I am controlled by my emotions, nothing good will happen. (I should settle this within myself. Dapat. Dapat.)

*The reason why God joins a husband and wife together is for them to help one another in their weaknesses, not to tell other people about each other's flaws.

*Ang babae ay isang korona sa kanyang asawa. Dapat ipagmalaki. (This one's my favorite, heheheh!)

===========================================

Sa sobrang tuwa ko sa teaching na to, I rushed to go home after our faith group so I can email it to June. Hahaha!

===============================================

While me and my church girl friends were talking about this teaching, I just had to thank the Lord for creating me a woman. I am enjoying my womanhood everyday! I love that I get to have long hair, wear skirts AND jeans, shop for pretty clothes and shoes, buy beauty stuff from stores that I like and still worship God while doing all these girly stuff.

I think that we, women, are such powerful beings. We have the heart to feel all these wonderful emotions. Palaging sinasabi na masyadong emotional ang mga babae. I believe this is true but it's a positive thing! Well, at least for those who are masters to their emotions, meaning, hindi nagpapadala sa emosyon nila. Besides, it only adds to our charm as women. ; )

I am a firm believer that ALL women are beautiful. I know I am beautiful because I was fearfully and wonderfully made and you (if you are a woman) are equally beautiful.

2 Goodbyes For The Weekend

One of my good friends from work said goodbye last Friday - si Sherwin. He was one of the first few that I knew in IBM. Parang clown namin si Sherwin sa team, laging nagpapatawa, laging bida. = ) Knowing about his resignation surprised me because I thought he'll be staying for another year...Sabi nga sa Reader's Digest, 'life's like that.'

Before I went home last Friday, he gave me a big hug and that's when I felt THE sadness. Alam mo yun? No matter how I try to control my emotions, my tear glands still manage to win sometimes!!! Hehe!

Sher, I know you're happy where you are. I wish you all the best and I hope you find what you're really looking for. Hehe! Let's eat out soon.

Goodbyes are really sad. The word even sounds lonely. But in this life, there will always be goodbyes, as much as there will always be hellos. = )
================

June will be flying to Rhode Island in US tomorrow morning at 9AM. Ok, so it's not really goodbye...because he will be coming back in two months, so he's here by November 2 (according to the plan).

He will be undergoing training starting Monday, with some of his teammates who went there ahead of him.

Today we spent the whole day together. We shopped for some stuff that he'll bring to the trip. I thought I won't cry, but I did for a short while. It's saaaad. I know that 2 months will soon be over...Napakabilis ng oras. Ewan ko, malungkot lang kasi lagi kaming magkasama at magkausap. There's this weird feeling that the next two months won't be the same because he's not here. Awww, ang drama ko naman. At the same time, I am so excited because this is his first out-of- the-country trip! Enjoy di ba?

Tapos mag-isa lang siya sa flight bukas, hehe, adventure. Go June! Kaya mo yan. We'll pray for you tomorrow sa faith group. At sana mabasa mo tong entry na to di ba?

=================

Before he went home tonight, I told him this: Though I am sad because he's leaving, I am still overwhelmed with joy because of this mighty blessing. This is pure grace and favor! God is really good! We never imagined this would happen, that he would be given this opportunity to go to the States for free! Haha. I call this GRACE, FAVOR and HARVEST. = ) I know that you, my friends, are in agreement with me.

Junee, you're one step closer to your dream. I love you and I will see you soon!
