Long Weekend
*No classes today so I am home, thinking about how I'm gonna finish all the stuff I have to do for school. I have to read the newspapers everyday now. My POLITICAL DYNAMICS professor told us to, because current events will be included in his future quizzes. Yey for people who do this faithfully. Unfornately, I don't. So for the first few days, I (kinda) forced myself to buy PDI . And it's actually fun! Reading about the news around the world makes me feel...involved :) At least I'm not left out anymore when my classmates talk about the current news on TV. I don't watch TV (except for wonderful TV specials like the AMAs) so I'm not updated.
*Speaking of the AMAs, watching ALICIA KEYS and USHER performing 'MY BOO' was the most-est kilig moment that night (naks parang andon ako). They were both in white and they look soooo good together! Sila na kaya? I heard they're dating. Usher won 4 awards (I think) and he even dedicated one to Alicia. Awww. Ain't that su-weeet? BUT! Definitely sweeter was the never-before-seen BEATLES video. Definitely, mas kilig yon. Kaso medyo kulang yung tribute sa Beatles e. I was expecting a grand, marvelous, majestic, fantastic tribute. Bleh.
*Ate Dins 'reported' that FullCupCafe (bagong link) will be having their DECAF ACOUSTIC NIGHT on Nov. 26. I hope we can join...I'm still waiting for their email. I really really want to go back to that place. If you still remember, that's where we made our very first performance so that makes FullCup extra special. And the people are very nice as well. Meron silang 'jamming' every Friday, parang youth service ba. O, sa mga taong gustong sumama ah, text lang, tapos punta tayo!
*Pez bought a new FENDER bass guitar!! Congratulations on your new baby, dude. Ayan, dahil nasa mga kamay mo na ang baho-ng pinaka-iintay mo, tapusin na natin yung mga kanta natin! Weeee!! I'm so excited. I am still praying for a brand new PINK or MINT GREEN ELECTRIC GUITAR. I am so sure that will come, pero sana ngayon na. Hehe. Everyone, pray with me! (sample lang yang mga naka-link)
*Prana Escalante was found dead at Mt. Halcon, after more than a week's search. She is a 21-year-old Nursing student (graduating) at UST. She is also a mountaineer, which, of course brought her to that club activity in Mindoro. To us, she is 'Ate Prana'. We live in the same dormitory. I used to get so annoyed whenever she goes to Ate Gladys' room, which is across ours, and shout GLADDYYYSS!!! Her voice is so tiny! Haaay. We are not close friends, but we smile at each other when we meet at school, or in the corridors of our dorm. We all prayed for her safe return when we learned she's missing. And we prayed for her to come back alive so she can go back to school after the sembreak, just like us, but she died. Ate, maraming makaka-miss sa yo.
*Christmas is coming! Meron nang Christopher the Christmas tree dito sa bahay. I've been telling them to put it up since last week. Hehe. Ansama. When I got home last Saturday, I saw it and I went, "YEY! MAY CHRISMAS TREE NAAAAHH!!". That's how excited I am. It's my favorite holiday. Merry Christmas everyone!
